JCB Power Products Secures Major Rental Generator Deal
JCB Power Products has won a multi-million order from Dubai based firm Rental Solutions & Services (RSS). GB Equipment Solutions, JCB dealer in the UAE will be providing the aftersales services and support to maintain these generators.
The RSS has ordered over 400 gensets from JCB and it is the second purchase in 12 months. The firm had previously purchased a range of rental generators from 20-500 kVA in 2017.
The new deal includes a range of generators from 60 kVA to 1 MW which are planned for use in construction and infrastructure projects, at major events and in utility applications across the Middle East.
Scheduled to begin arriving in March, the new equipment will be distributed throughout the year to RSS customers across the region.
GB Equipment Solutions General Manager Mazen Abdul Baki said.”This deal has given a great opportunity and brand exposure to JCB power products. The way JCB power products’ population is growing in the market, time is near, when JCB yellow generators will be seen all over the UAE and the whole of Middle East market. We, as dealers of JCB in the UAE are well equipped and committed to provide the best services and support in the market.”
RSS rental gensets include a new range of 1 MW models, launched last year, which are housed in rental-specific containers and incorporate JCB’s LiveLink telematics system as standard on all models above 60 kVA.
RSS Group Operations Director Garry McMahon said: “Following the purchase of a range of JCB rental generators last year, the business has developed dramatically over the last 12 months. We have ambitious plans to continue to maximize on the rental opportunity across the Middle East and JCB’s rental generator range plays a pivotal role.”
LIVE LINK and JCB Power Products
According to JCB, RSS has logged over 250,000 running hours on LiveLink for Power. Live Link monitors live generator performance including location tracking and geofencing, along with remote diagnostics. The company said this reduces engineer call-outs and improves first time fix rates.
To meet stringent rental emissions requirements in the Middle East, RSS fleet is powered by Stage IIIA compliant engines. To increase safety, the new models include spark arrestors and Chalwyn valves to help protect the engine, and to boost deployment time. The range is fitted with plug and play socket panels to allow the gensets to be used across a number of industries.
